Erica and Curtis’s wedding at Lairmont Manor in Bellingham, Washington was everything a summer garden celebration should be—warm, intentional, elegant, and full of joy. These two first reached out sharing how much they loved my candid, documentary-style approach to wedding photography. They wanted a day captured with honesty and ease, focusing on all the organic in-between moments that naturally unfold. From the very beginning, it felt like the perfect fit.
Originally from the Seattle area, Erica and Curtis visit Bellingham often to see Curtis’s friends, so choosing a local venue that felt meaningful was important to them. When they discovered Lairmont Manor, it checked every box: lush summer gardens, historic architecture, stunning indoor + outdoor spaces, and an atmosphere that already feels naturally elegant without needing much added décor. The moment they toured it, they knew it was the one.
Set on August 10th, their wedding day couldn’t have been more beautiful—bright sun, vibrant greenery, and the kind of golden light that makes every moment feel magical. The flow of the day unfolded across Lairmont’s private gardens, historic rooms, and intimate reception spaces, giving guests plenty of charming corners to explore. Every detail felt thoughtful and deeply personal.
A special shoutout to Fiona and Kate at Gordon Duo, the incredible mother-daughter coordination team who connected us. They brought their signature warmth and organization to the day, creating a seamless experience that allowed Erica and Curtis to fully relax and enjoy every moment.
