Ben and Emily’s summer elopement at Artist Point was the kind of day that reminds me why I love photographing intimate mountain weddings. These two reached out sharing their vision for a celebration that felt simple, meaningful, and rooted in the outdoors—something that reflected who they are. After three years together (plus a house and a very loved dog), they decided it was finally time to make it official. A small, intentional ceremony in the North Cascades with just their parents and siblings was exactly what they imagined.

They spent the morning getting ready in the sweetest little cabin in Glacier, Washington, surrounded by evergreen trees and summer mountain air. Once everyone was ready, we caravanned up the Mount Baker Highway toward Artist Point, one of the most breathtaking elopement locations in the entire Pacific Northwest. The views did not disappoint—crystal-clear July skies, glowing alpine light, and panoramic views of Mount Shuksan and Mount Baker.

Ben and Emily exchanged vows overlooking the ridge, with their family gathered close and the mountains towering behind them. After a few family photos, the three of us ventured off to explore the surrounding trails and ridges, capturing some absolutely stunning portraits. The combination of dramatic peaks, soft light, and their genuine connection made this a gallery for the record books.

After our adventure session, we headed back down to their Airbnb in Glacier where the family shared a cozy, intimate dinner together. They cut cake, toasted the newlyweds, and settled into an evening that was warm, relaxed, and full of intention—exactly what they wanted from their elopement day.
