Cannon Beach Engagement Session with Divine & Justin
I recently had the absolute joy of photographing Divine and Justin’s engagement session at iconic Cannon Beach, and it was nothing short of magical. These two have been together for almost 11 years—high school sweethearts who grew up together in South Dakota, built a life across Minnesota and the Willamette Valley, and now call Portland home. Best friends, world travelers, and recently engaged in beautiful Victoria, BC—Divine and Justin brought so much love, playfulness, and authentic energy to their session.
Their engagement shoot took place this past May, and the Pacific Northwest absolutely showed off for them. Cannon Beach gifted us one of the most breathtaking sunsets of the season. Warm golden light filtered across the shoreline, Haystack Rock stood tall in the background, and the sky slowly shifted into soft pastels as we explored the beach together.
We spent the evening running around the sand, laughing, and soaking in that dreamy PNW evening glow. Despite the usual Cannon Beach crowds, we found pockets of solitude where Divine and Justin could just be themselves—playful, connected, and fully present with each other. As the sun dropped toward the horizon, the light wrapped around them so beautifully that every frame felt effortless.
Sessions like this are what make me love being a Pacific Northwest photographer. The natural beauty of the Oregon Coast paired with a couple as genuine and in love as these two made for an unforgettable experience.
