Anne & Parker’s Suncadia Resort Wedding in Cle Elum

Anne and Parker’s wedding at Suncadia Resort was one of those days that felt completely magical from start to finish — sun, wind, mountains, and two people who couldn’t stop smiling at each other. Their story already feels like a rom-com: they met as neighbors in the same apartment complex, each with a brand-new puppy who insisted on bringing them together. After a few hints from Parker about taking the dogs to the park, Anne finally agreed, and they’ve been inseparable ever since.

They spent the morning getting ready separately at nearby Airbnbs before meeting for a first look at Suncadia’s iconic Overlook. Even with the wind whipping across the ridge, it was beautiful — the Cascade Mountains glowing in the sun, the Cle Elum River stretching far below, and the two of them laughing and soaking it all in. Their ceremony at The Lookout at Suncadia was breathtaking, a one-of-a-kind mountaintop location where couples stand silhouetted against sweeping mountain views and seasonal color. It couldn’t have been a more perfect place for them to say “I do” in the heart of the Pacific Northwest mountains.

The celebration continued at Roslyn Lawn, a picturesque reception space overlooking the 18th hole of Prospector Golf Course, surrounded by pine trees, native meadow grasses, and a peaceful water feature that reflected the blue mountain skies. As the sun dropped behind the Cascades, the space glowed with warm evening light, setting the tone for an unforgettable night.

Along with photographing their day, I also shot a few rolls of Super 8mm wedding film — and it added such a nostalgic, cinematic feel. Super 8mm has this dreamy, imperfect magic that makes everything look like a memory unfolding in real time. Their highlight reel includes windy cliffside moments, their vows at The Lookout, the sweetest in-between glances, and the absolute chaos and joy of the dance floor later on. It’s the perfect blend of modern photography and vintage wedding film aesthetics, and I can’t wait to share it.

The speeches were touching, the dancing was wild, and the whole day felt intentional, emotional, and full of joy. Huge shoutout to Katie from Sprinkled in Seattle for coordinating the day flawlessly — everything ran smoothly and stress-free from start to finish. Anne and Parker’s Cle Elum wedding truly captured the essence of a Suncadia mountain wedding: adventure, beauty, and heartfelt celebration all wrapped together.

Documenting it — both on camera and on Super 8mm — was such an honor.
